By accessing or using the Loreto Skills Generator API (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, you may not use the Service. Your continued use of the Service following any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
Loreto provides a hosted API that converts supported source content—including YouTube videos, articles, PDFs, and images—into ranked lists of 1–5 complete Claude Code skill packages. Each skill package includes:
The Service is provided on an "as-is" basis and is designed to extract generalizable principles from source content, whether named or implied in business stories, case studies, or technical documentation.
You must have a valid Loreto account to use the API. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to keep your account credentials secure.
Each account is issued one or more API keys. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys. You agree not to share, publish, or expose your API keys in public repositories, client-side code, or other insecure locations. Any activity conducted using your API key is your responsibility.
The Service enforces rate limits on API calls. Your account plan determines the number of calls allowed per month. Exceeding your plan's limits may result in throttling or suspension of API access. For details on rate limits applicable to your plan, see the Pricing page.
All API usage is tracked through the Zuplo gateway and billed according to your plan. You are responsible for monitoring your usage and managing your subscription to ensure you stay within your allocated limits.
You agree to use the Service only in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Specifically, you agree not to:
Important: You own the skill packages generated by the Service. You may freely use, modify, distribute, and commercialize the generated skill packages. However, you do not own or have rights to the API itself, which remains Loreto's exclusive property.
All skill packages generated through the Service are your property. You retain full rights to use, modify, publish, sublicense, and commercialize the generated SKILL.md, README.md, reference stubs, and test scripts.
Loreto retains all rights to the API itself, its underlying technology, algorithms, and service infrastructure. This includes any improvements, enhancements, or modifications made to the Service. The Service and all its components are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Copyright and intellectual property rights to the original source content (YouTube videos, articles, PDFs, images) remain with the respective copyright holders. By submitting a source URL or file, you represent that you have the right to process that content through the Service and that such processing does not violate any third-party rights.
The Service operates on a pay-per-call model. Each API call incurs a charge according to the published pricing schedule (currently $0.50 USD per call, subject to change). Pricing may vary based on source type, processing complexity, and other factors.
Billing is processed through Stripe and charged to the payment method on file in your account. You authorize Loreto to charge your payment method for all API usage that occurs under your account. Invoices are generated monthly and accessible from your dashboard.
All API usage is tracked in real time through the Zuplo gateway. You are responsible for monitoring your usage and billing. You may set usage alerts in your account dashboard to monitor costs.
API calls are processed immediately upon request. Once a call has completed and a skill package has been generated, no refund will be issued, regardless of satisfaction with the output. You are encouraged to review usage and budget parameters before making API calls.
If an API call fails before completion due to input validation errors, source unavailability, or Loreto service errors, no charge will apply. However, if your call completes and generates output, you will be charged, even if the output does not meet your expectations.
Loreto provides the Service on a best-effort basis. We strive to maintain high availability, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, unexpected outages, or other factors beyond our reasonable control.
Each API request has a maximum processing time of 8 minutes. If a request exceeds this timeout, it will be terminated and a 408 error will be returned. You will not be charged for requests that fail due to timeout.
Loreto may perform scheduled maintenance that temporarily makes the Service unavailable. We will attempt to schedule maintenance during low-traffic periods, but cannot guarantee availability during these windows.
Loreto makes no warranty regarding uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service. Use of the Service is at your sole risk. For mission-critical applications, you are encouraged to implement fallback solutions.
When you submit a source URL or file to the Service, the content is extracted and processed by Loreto's API and Claude AI to identify generalizable principles and generate skill packages. Source content is processed for extraction purposes only.
Source URLs and their associated content are not stored long-term on Loreto servers. After processing completes and the skill package is generated, raw content is discarded within a reasonable timeframe. However, skill packages themselves (your generated output) are retained in your account for your access and download.
Your API key is confidential. You are solely responsible for protecting your API key and ensuring it is not shared with unauthorized parties. API keys are transmitted over secure, encrypted HTTPS connections and are never logged in plain text.
Loreto collects and retains account information necessary to provide the Service, including email, name, company, billing information, and usage logs. This information is used to administer your account, process payments, and improve the Service.
Loreto complies with applicable data protection regulations. For more information on how your data is processed, please refer to our Privacy Policy (linked in the footer).
The Service is provided "as-is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Loreto makes no warranty that the Service will meet your requirements, be uninterrupted, or be free of errors. Loreto does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of skill packages generated by the Service.
In no event shall Loreto be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if Loreto has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Except as prohibited by law, Loreto's total liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms or related to the Service shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to Loreto in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You are responsible for maintaining backups of any important data and for verifying the accuracy and suitability of skill packages generated by the Service before using them in production environments.
You may cancel your Loreto account and terminate these Terms at any time. To cancel your subscription, visit your account dashboard and select "Cancel Subscription" in settings. Your cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds will be issued for prepaid fees.
Loreto may terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, upon written notice (email to the address on file). Grounds for immediate termination include, but are not limited to:
Upon termination, your account access is immediately revoked, and your API keys are deactivated. You will no longer be able to make API calls or access skill packages stored in your account (unless downloaded previously). Termination does not affect your ownership of previously generated skill packages that you have downloaded.
Loreto may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes to the Service, applicable laws, or other factors. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by posting a prominent notice on the website. The effective date of updated Terms will be listed at the top of this page.
Your continued use of the Service after changes to these Terms have been published constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to any changes, you must stop using the Service and cancel your account.
